Should we be washing our rivals feet? Would you?
Ben and Lauren are back with family Bible time. This week we are reading through John 13. First, we talk about the disciples getting their feet washed by Jesus and why this was a big deal. At the time, the lowly would be washing the feet of their master, but here we see His Kingdom, a worldly reversal. Jesus commands us to be like Him and to serve one another - even if that means washing feet. Would you be willing to wash your enemy's feet? Gross, right? In the second half of chapter 13, Jesus commands us to love one another. Are you showing love to each and every person you encounter? This is how people will know we follow Jesus, He said so Himself in John 14:35. Today, our call to action is to examine where you are at today. Are you too good to wash someone else's feet? Or are you too good to let someone touch your feet like Peter was (at first)? Or are you stooping and washing another's feet without question? Let us know in the comments where you are at today.
